Scott Williams, Executive Vice President and CMO

Scott Williams, XR1’s Chief Marketing Officer, is responsible for shaping the company’s product line, initiating new sales channels, developing strategic alliances with other companies and refining and implementing the Company’s marketing strategies. Mr. Williams was instrumental in the conceptualization of the original Cornerpost product and has been responsible for most of its recent enhancements. In addition, Scott conceived of the innovative FishbowlRewards product and managed its successful pilot projects. Many of the Company’s strategic relationships are due to Mr. Williams’ efforts including the development of our network of sales agents and various technology partnerships.

Before serving as CMO, Scott oversaw Business Development for the Company which included recruiting the initial sales partners for Cornerpost, and managing a multimillion dollar Mentor-Protégé effort funded by the federal government. He also directed Client Services that included the technical provisioning/consulting efforts allied to Cornerpost.

Mr. Williams joined XR1 in 1996 and opened its Atlanta office. While there, he produced the first official webcast of the Fulton County (GA) Commissioners and was the online producer of the gala for the 25th Anniversary of Hank Aaron’s 715th Home Run. In addition, Scott developed and managed the online re-election campaign for Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell and developed several recognized Web-based efforts for Washington, DC-based advocacy groups like the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Prior to joining the Company, Scott was a Data Networking Specialist at AT&T where he was responsible for the sale, design and implementation of complex data networks with a focus on Emerging Services and Internet/intranet applications. His efforts were recognized when he was named to the ATT Gold Club for professional excellence. Mr. Williams has also held engineering positions at IBM and Augat Systems, a leading supplier in the automotive industry, where he lead the launch of the 1994 Ford Mustang across the network of participating automotive plants. Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida in 1990.
